Product Overview

When it comes to saving on the high cost of food preparation and storage nothing beats a versatile vacuum sealer to prevent food waste. The PolyScience 300 Series Chamber Vacuum Sealer (Winner of StarChefs Innovator Award) can be used on both liquids and meats to prevent freezer burn due to excess air being trapped inside the typical plastic bags or storage containers.

The large internal vacuum chamber (13.8 x 12 x 4.3 in) gives it the ability to handle large volumes of foods and liquids at once. By removing as much air as possible, it can easily extend the storage time many times over as compared to typical freezer bags.

Uses and Ease of Operation

The Polyscience 300 Series Vacuum Sealer has the ability to seal both liquids (soups and stews) and dry items (fresh meats and vegetables). It also has built-in settings that make it perfect for marinating a wide variety of fresh cuts of meat. The best part of this vacuum sealer is its large internal vacuum chamber. The operator panel features several simples to use buttons that make it really easy to use.

Overall Size and Dimensions

It is constructed of heavy-duty stainless steel that makes both rugged enough to handle a lot of use and still looks great sitting on the counter. At first glance, you are probably wondering if there would be enough clearance under your average kitchen cabinets when having it out on the counter. Unfortunately, you would need to plan ahead and have a place to use it if you don’t have high cabinets. It’s dimensions are 11.8” x 14.0” x 18.2” and that is with the lid closed, you would need to have more room to allow the top to be open.

Cost

This is definitely not your average food saver vacuum sealer, it comes with an extremely high price tag. While it has a big price tag, it is still designed for household use only according to the manufacturer’s website.

Warranty Information

It has a heavy-duty maintenance-free piston pump and its sturdy construction means it will be able to hold up under most circumstances. It comes with a one-year limited warranty on parts and labor.

Our Opinion

If you can get passed the initial shock of the price, the PolyScience 300 Series Chamber Vacuum Sealer is definitely worth the price. With the high cost of fresh meats and vegetables these days, being able to buy in bulk and store as much as you can in individual packages will help to stretch for food budget a whole lot longer.

We could only come up with a couple of negatives, but the positives definitely far outweigh the negatives and if you are not scared off by the high price, this would be a great choice.
